Wavelift

Privacy policy

Last updated October 1, 2026

Wavelift is a browser extension that converts media from web pages into audio and video files. This policy explains what data it handles, why, and for how long. We don't sell data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools.

Without an account

If you create an account

Payments

Payments are handled by Whop. We never see or store your card details. Whop tells us whether a payment succeeded and the status of your subscription, which we use to turn Pro on or off. Whop's own privacy policy applies to the payment itself.

Feedback

If you send feedback, rate the extension, or answer the short survey shown after uninstalling, we store what you write, your rating, the extension version, and your email if you add it. We use this only to improve Wavelift.

Stays on your device

Your download history and your settings are stored in your browser and are never sent to us.

Who processes data for us

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from the account page in the extension (Account, then Delete account). This removes your email, password hash, authenticator secret and sessions immediately, and stops any running subscription from renewing. Conversion records and usage counters are deleted automatically after 30 days. For anything else, use the "Suggest a feature or report a bug" link at the bottom of the extension popup or the developer contact on the Chrome Web Store listing.

Children

Wavelift is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the extension.

Contact

Questions about privacy: use the "Suggest a feature or report a bug" link at the bottom of the extension popup or the developer contact on the Chrome Web Store listing.
